In 2000, Austrian Bernhard Auinger won the Formula Konig Championship driving Red Bull’s first sponsored racecar. Today it is raced by Sarasota Café Racer Ottokar Jacobs. Formula Koenig was an open-wheel racing series based in Germany between 1988 and 2004 and sponsored by Konig Komfort, best known for its racing seats.
