The Spirit of Zora ’57 Corvette Fuelie and Sarasota Café Racers Michael Moss and John Cutrone: AMERICANS IN ITALY: TEAM ZORA USA!
In preparation for the 2026 1000 Miglia (Mille Miglia Historica), TEAM ZORA USA has arrived in Italy a week early for the iconic multi-stage, five-day Brescia-Rome-Brescia event. Moss and Cutrone, AMERICANS IN ITALY: TEAM ZORA USA!, are participating in the pre-Red Arrow 1000 Miglia program, produced by Brescia’s Scuderia Sports.
Michael Moss, an accomplished road racer and collector, is the owner-driver of the Spirit of Zora Corvette. He recently drove the Corvette in the 1000 Miglia Experience Florida rally. John Cutrone is TEAM ZORA USA’s Manager and Cultural Attaché to Italian Food & Wine Festivals. Both are members of the prestigious Sarasota Café Racers Carguy lunch group, based in Sarasota, FL.
Scuderia Sports was founded in 2009 by Mark Gessler and Luciano Viaro to join a few friends with a passion for Zagato coachbuilt cars and vintage racing. Over the years, it has become a successful event management company and a high-profile vintage racing team with impressive multi-podium finishes at the Mille Miglia. Scuderia Sports maintains a close relationship with Zagato.
Moss, Cutrone, and the Spirit of Zora ’57 Corvette Fuelie are participating in Scuderia Sports’ Tour Dei Laghi Academy Rally to the Porsche Experience Center & Test Track in Franciacorta, located in Italy’s Province of Brescia, Lombardy, best known for its fine wine production. In addition to the rally, they will be competing in the 2026 Coppa Franciacorta race, rounding out a four-day program.
Next stop for the AMERICANS IN ITALY: TEAM ZORA USA! is the start of the Mille Miglia in Brescia on June 9th. Moss’ co-pilot for the legendary rally is race & rally veteran, Bud Bennett, from RM Motorsports, Wixom, MI.
