It’s not very often that you can see Steve McQueen’s 1956 Jaguar XKSS, the 1955 Jaguar D-Type XKD 507 raced by Briggs Cunningham, Princess Diana’s bespoke 1987 XJ-S V-12 Jaguar Cabriolet and a 1967 E-Type Jaguar that had been aboard the RMS Queen Elizabeth on its first voyage to North America just a few feet away from a protype Type 01 Jaguar EV (with production interior, below) in full Camo paint. It happened one day at the 18th hole on the green at Pebble Beach. In nearby Carmel, the latest from Range Rover, including a one-of-one SV Pearl Luster Edition, was celebrated at Range Rover House. In October, the production Type 01 will be revealed.
It happened during the five days of sensory overload on California’s Monterey Peninsula that included the 75th Concours de Elegance at Pebble Beach, Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca Raceway, classic and exotic car auctions, the 23rd Motorsports Gathering at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club, the 41st Concorso Italiano at the Bayonet Black Horse Golf Course, plus parties galore!
