Hundreds of hot rods, customs and specialty cars filled the streets of Solvang, CA for the 9th Annual Wheels ‘N Windmills Show. Our man, Jim Palam, was there to capture the moment for the Chronicles.
It was a picture-perfect day In Solvang, CA last Sunday when over 10,000 car enthusiasts flocked to the 9th Annual Wheels ‘N Windmills Car Show. More than 300 show-stopping
cars were on display. Proceeds from the show benefit three California Central Coast
children’s charities. Here are some of the highlights. Red, hot and supercharged
‘63 Dodge 330, opened-up for inspection. Awesome!

Highly modified ’47 Hudson Super Wasp pickup has a Valley cowboy wondering, “Where does the hay go?” The Super Wasp’s pristine motor compartment hints at where part of this
pickup’s $165,000 value comes from.

Richard McCollom’s ‘06 Ford Tungsten Edition GT might be the West Coast sister car to Chronicles Editor Marty Schorr’s prized ride.

Gerry & Sharon Durnall’s ‘31 Ford Model A pickup includes everything but the kitchen sink.  Correction: The kitchen sink might be in here somewhere!

WTF? Showgoer ponders the improbabilities of this highly detailed, gas-powered Mini Purple Roadster. Size may not matter after all!
