Unlike its sibling racer, however, this one can be driven home from the racetrack. The new limited-edition model drops 39 pounds thanks to new carbon fiber wheels, a titanium exhaust, titanium wheel nuts and a lightweight poly carbonate rear hatch with additional venting.

The GT Carbon Series retains some conveniences including air conditioning, radio and SYNC 3 – for those customers who want to drive to and from the track in comfort. Some luxuries including cup holders have been removed. The third Ford GT special edition features more visible carbon fiber than any previous model, along with optional accent colors, so as to further stand out from the lineup.
